Resistive muffler Resistive muffler is when various muffler units such as expansion chambers and resonance chambers are formed through pipes, partitions and other components inside, the sound waves reflect and interfere during propagation, reducing the sound energy to achieve the purpose of muffling. Resistive mufflers have a limited muffler frequency band, usually good for low and medium frequency bands, but poor for high-frequency mufflers. Most trucks use resistive mufflers.
